Supreme Satupra

Hi friends, yet another blog is coming to your way from the land of Madhya Pradesh, it was  challenging to finalize the topic because of topic fight in my mind but finally winner is one of the best places in Madhya Pradesh, which is known as “Satpura National Park” a land of scenic beauty with highly rich natural resources. instead of talking more here let me directly open the memory box to give you the experience Supreme place.

Down the Memory Lane

As title states I am on memory lane, the trip was such that while writing I feel I am now in Satpura,  the trip was a combination of wonderful place and wonderful travelers who are now best friends and part of almost every visit. as usual, the place was finalized after my routine cry for Corbett, Saurabh promised me that the place will give me the best memory this is how I got convinced by him and yes today the place is part of my heart.

The journey started with 12 equally mad travelers from CST to reach Pipariya, we reached at 3am in super chilling winter where we enjoyed the tea and moved ahead towards the destination. We reached at around 5.30 am with no time left to start safari but our madness made us ready for the same in super quick time where we experience nothing less than the heaven

The Moment we reached the first level entry gate we saw a mindblowing scene, at around 6am slight light of the Sun started coming up giving the river golden shade and guess what we had to cross the same through the boat. Nothing can beat such superb atmosphere, Satpura is known for its uniqueness in terms of the way you need to reach the forest, you need to cross the river through the boat to reach forest gate, with such lovely welcome we entered the forest with our madness to explore the wilderness.  Our target was to capture everything and anything without missing out Leopard sighting. The day 1 started with the effort to reach out to Leopard (main attraction of Satpura) but he teased us multiple time and did not even gave a glimpse, still, we were happy with everything we captured. We thought it is the end of the day but our expert had planned a surprise for us which was nothing but first time ever night safari.

We started around 7pm where winter wanted to prove its presence with single digit degree temperature but our madness to explore the forest in the dark was much higher than the winter. In such a silent atmosphere, we experienced different natural sound that was a unique feel of the forest. We started a search on where we got Jungle Cat and owlet, to see this lovely animal/birds in headlight cannot be explained in words. We were excited with such unexpected sighting, which got double when one car broke down. At night around 10 pm with high temperature we were on the road to repair the car, it was super exciting but with a little bit of fear of wild animal as well as. Somehow, we quickly fixed the issue to move out of the forest to reach home back to take rest for next day visit, this is how night safari proved to be lifetime memory because of unique forest feel added with breaking down of a car in the middle of the forest.

With such a high night safari time our expectations went high too, another two visit again remained without leopard but we got Sloth bear, wild dogs, crocodile and many other unique birds. Now we only had the last safari to meet lightning leopard to keep our record intact to see wild cats at all places. It was like a football match where last few minutes left for making the goal, similarly we had last half hour to save our record, we started full search around the various zones which turned rewarding all thanks to Monkey.

Monkey’s call gave us a signal of the presence of Leopard, the call was so high that leopard got irritated and came out and ran away quickly. Still, we were not satisfied we followed his movement to get better pictures and finally we saw the Prince sitting on the rock in style and finally scored a GOAL while keeping our record intact. The is such that it deserves to be called SUPREME, you should visit the place at least once to explore the beauty of the forest.

Each forest is unique and offers exposure to nature in a different manner; we need to feel the beauty with a clean heart and respect it then only we will get true rewards. This is how we sum up the trip with deep memories stored in memory room.
